What is a recurring donation?
A recurring donation is a great way of supporting a child over time. Instead of making a one-time donation, you provide credit card information and we automatically charge your card in the specified amount each month.
Can I change the monthly amount?
Through your DonorBox profile, you can easily change the amount of your donation.
How do I change my payment info?
Go through your DonorBox profile, select the “Recurring Donation” tab, and “Edit/Update Billing Info.” You can enter new credit card/billing information here.
Do I get a receipt?
When you set up your recurring donation, you will be charged for the first month’s payment, and will receive a receipt at that time. You will not receive additional receipts after each subsequent monthly donation. However, through your Donor Portal account, you can access your donation history at any time and get a snapshot of your total donations made to date. And, in January of the coming year, we will send you (via email or mail if so you prefer) an aggregated receipt for tax purposes reflecting all of your donations during the year.
Can I use PayPal?
Yes, you can choose to use PayPal on the donation form.
Can I set up a recurring donation in honor of someone?
Yes, you can – simply indicate “make this donation a gift” when you check out and follow the prompts to enter the gift recipient’s name so we can send them a card and let them know that you’ve contributed in their honor. Each month, we will charge your credit card for your monthly donation, but we will not send a card every month.
How do I cancel my recurring donation?
Ongoing support is important to the continuity of our programs, so we encourage donors to continue to contribute to projects over time. If you must cancel your recurring donation, you can do so by going into the “Recurring Donation” tab of “My Profile,” and select “Stop/Cancel Your Recurring Donation.”
